The group
1. How did the group perform?
As a group, I think we performed exceptionally well and I also think that we all made a huge effort. We all tried our hardest in order to make it as interesting and humorous as possible and it seemed to have paid off in the performance.
2. What did they do well?
I think that we all did well in adapting to any slight mistakes or sudden changes that happened during the performance and made it seem like it was meant to happen. Also, I think that we did well in staying in character and embracing the character, in order to make the role seem believable.
3. What could they have done better?
I think we could have done better in preparing the sound effects for the performance and doing it earlier so that we could have had longer to plan it and practice with them so that there would have been less mistakes.
YOU
1. How did you carry out your duties?
I made sure that I balanced out my duties, in order to reach a deadline and make sure I fulfilled them to the fullest.
2. What did you do well?
As mentioned earlier, I think I did well in fulfilling my duties and putting in all that I could in order to get the best out of the performance. I attended all rehearsals and tried to perfect my role to make it believable and an interesting character. When performing, I think I did well in staying in role and exaggerating my movements to portray a story.
3. What could you have done better?
I think that I could have done better with organising myself and organising out sound effects rather than just relying on Mr Mackintosh.
AUDIENCE
1. How did the audience respond during the show?
The audience responded cooperatively during the show, laughing at the parts that were meant to be funny and ‘awing’ when it was meant to be sad. This helped a lot during the show because it was almost a sign of encouragement for us and it egged us on which brought the best performance out of us.
2. What did they say after?
I have two reviews from two different teachers that saw our show. This is what they said.
“When I saw the ‘ssshhh…’ posters around the school, I was intrigued, which turned into excitement when Mr Williams introduced the opening number of the Oscars evening was ‘ssshhh...’ I was blown away with the talent and originality of the year 10 mime piece. Funny, fast-paced, original, creative and so well put together. Well done girls it was a wonderful start to an excellent evening.”
Miss T. Seager.
“ An imaginative, creative performance. What a talented group of individuals. Mesmerising & visually stimulating. Thoroughly enjoyable.”
Miss Demetriou.
These reviews show me that they enjoyed our performance a lot.
ACCOUNTS
How much money was spent?
For our performance, we only spent money on the face-paint and wipes and nothing else. We didn’t need any money for anything else as we already had the equipment. The face-paint only came up to £15 so we decided, instead of raising money; we should all give £1 as there was 15 of us. So that is what we did.
